A bit about me...
This will be my eighth year teaching in the School District of Haverford Township. I began in the fall of 2005 teaching kindergarten half-day at Oakmont and half-day at Lynnewood. The following year I taught first grade here at Chestnutwold and have been doing so since then. Prior to teaching, I attended and graduated from Penn State University in May 2005. I finished taking graduate courses at Saint Joseph's University and earned a Masters of Education and Reading Specialist certification in 2009. I love to teach and to watch students grow and learn. I look forward to a wonderful year with your children!
Some of my favorite things: spending time with my family (especially my nephew and niece!) and friends, practicing yoga, running, traveling, baking and cooking, reading on the beach, fall weather, anything purple, Penn State football...and teaching 1st grade! :)

Children are...
Amazing, acknowledge them. Believable, trust them. Childlike, allow them. Divine, honor them. Energetic, nourish them. Fallible, embrace them. Gifts, treasure them. Here now, be with them. Innocent, delight with them. Joyful, appreciate them. Kindhearted, learn from them. Lovable, cherish them. Magical, fly with them. Noble, esteem them. Open minded, respect them. Precious, value them. Questioners, encourage them. Resourceful, support them. Spontaneous, enjoy them. Talented, believe in them. Unique, affirm them. Vulnerable, protect them. Whole, recognize them. Xtraspecial, celebrate them. Yearning, notice them. Zany, laugh with them.
