Hi!  My name is Mrs. Schwerdtfeger.  I grew up in Endicott New York.  I received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Oneonta State College.  Upon graduating, I went to Western Maryland College, now known as McDaniel College, for a graduate degree in Deaf Education.   For 5 years, I taught in the Philadelphia School District.

I then took 5 wonderful years off to raise my 2 children.  Owen attends fourth grade and Margaret is in second grade this year!  These were terrific years but I was missing my true passion for teaching.

I have been with Haverford Township School District since 2009.  I have taught first, second, fourth, and fifth grade.  I am thrilled to be back at Coopertown!  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on the phone or email me.   I look forward to meeting you!!!!

My certification includes: Elementary K-6,  Middle School Mathematics, Middle School Science, Family and Consumer Science, and ESL.
