During the past two years a committee of professionals met in response to cyberbullying. Years of thoughtful discussion, educational development, collaboration and consensus have allowed Haverford School District to compile best practices. Our goal is to address bullying and cyberbullying through effective response, education and building relationships. This year we intend to reinforce the district harassment policy and school rules with supportive anti-bullying practices. First, a formal online reporting system entitled, “H-Talk” will help to facilitate prompt and accurate administrative responses to cyber incidents. The online reporting system will eventually be used throughout the district, but will first start at middle school this fall.
