| 11/2012 Our first grade group put their problem solving skills to use on our math task cards. 11/29/12 Our first graders completed their first research project. They chose the subject of Insects and Spiders, and asked the big question, "How are spiders like insects, and how are they different?" After choosing books from the library to read on the topic, and keeping notes on their findings, both young ladies chose five good facts to show how the two were different, and a few facts to show what insects and spiders have in common. Finally, they chose and created a product to share the results of their research. 2/1/13 Our first grade group finished their research on our Solar System. They learned about the planets, the asteroid belt, the length of each planet's day, and the number of moons they have. Please enjoy their illustrations of the Solar System in the first grade hallway.
