greenspunJane Greenspun, Director of District Technology Services

Jane Greenspun joined the district 20 years ago as the Technology Assistant at the Coopertown Elementary School. Twelve years ago, she moved to Haverford Middle School serving as Technology Coordinator. During those years, Jane also managed the district's web site.
    
In 2005, Ms. Greenspun made the leap to administration becoming the Student Information Systems Manager. In this position, she managed all the student and district data using Power School, a state-of-the-art system that not only organizes all district and student information, but assists in the delivery of quality education to all students. In August of 2006, Ms. Greenspun became the Director of District Technology.
    
A graduate of Fairfield University in Connecticut, Ms. Greenspun earned a master's degree in Education from St. Joseph's University and holds a certificate in Instructional Technology.
    
Jane's children are graduates of Haverford High School. Her son, Dan, a 1998 graduate, is now the high school's varsity lacrosse coach. Her daughter, Annie, was the place kicker for the football team when a Haverford High student.
 
Rob AndersonRobert Anderson, Senior Network Administrator

A graduate of Widener University, Rob Anderson, the district's Senior Network Administrator, earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science there and began working at Marple Newtown School District as a member of the Paxon Hollow Middle School technology support staff. He was promoted to administration taking on the responsibilities of Systems/Network Administrator. In that position he monitored the district network, servers and implemented new technologies. His position as Senior Network Administrator includes those tasks as well managing information systems. Rob also has a master’s degree in Instructional Technology.

"When I walked into my children's elementary school as a volunteer hoping to assist them as they moved into the computer age, I never thought it would lead to such an interesting and rewarding career. I enjoy the work I do at Haverford and I enjoy working here with a team of energetic and innovative people."

Hired as a computer assistant for Haverford High School, Margie Olinger came to the district nine years ago to work with the quickly growing technology department. Shortly after, she was appointed High School Technology Coordinator and a year later moved into administration as the District Network Manager. In the summer of 2006, Margie assumed new responsibilities managing the district student information systems working with all data pertaining to students. She also works with teachers and grade books.
    
Margie is a graduate of Delaware County Community College with a degree in Computer Science and holds several certifications in technical systems and networking. As a volunteer in her children's elementary school, Margie set up four different computer networks in 15years.
    
Her daughter is a teacher in the district.
 
Tom StraubThomas Straub, Network & Communications Manager

Tom Straub began his career at Haverford School District as a grounds man in the Maintenance Department (1989). His subsequent advancements have been as a Journeyman Mechanic & Master Mechanic, in the electrical field to the present position of Networking and Communication Specialist. His duties include installation, maintenance and upgrading of the wiring for the district’s computer network, telephones, communications systems, card access, and security camera systems.

 

Tom was born and raised in the Township having attended Oakmont, Haverford Middle & Haverford High School along with his four brothers. He is married to the former Jennifer Ann Turner who was also raised in the Haverford Township School. They reside in the Westgate Hills section of Haverford Township, with their son Kayden. Tom & Jennifer are active with the Westgate Hills Civic Associations.

 

Tom has been an active member of the Oakmont Volunteer Fire Company since 1992, is a Life Member, presently serving as a Captain and is the Secretary to the Board of Directors.
