The library encourages students to develop a lifelong habit of the enjoyment of reading and the development of a discriminating taste in literature. Freedom to read allows both sides of an issue to be presented, allowing young citizens to develop critical thinking and reading skills. Access to all points of view on public questions will be provided. It is the library's mission to provide materials that enrich the quality and diversity of thought and expression. These materials should represent the many cultural groups that have contributed to both our American heritage and our local community.
