On Tuesday, November 9 the Lady Fords squared off against Emmaus High School in the first round of the PIAA State Tournament. Game time was set for 7:00 at Whitehall High School. The Fords entered the game with an impressive 19-4 record. During the regular season, the Fords ran the board to claim the Central League Title outright. During those 11 Central League victories, the Fords outscored their opponents 42-6.

Riding a 9 game winning streak the Fords headed into District 1 playoffs as the #7 seed in a 28-team pool. In the first round match-up, the Fords defeated Perk Valley off of goals from Jess McCarthy and Kelly Noone. Kate Bruno added a defensive save in the shut-out. With the win, Haverford advanced to face in-league rival Conestoga. Back in early October, a Kelly Noone goal from Kelsey LeBlanc gave the Fords a 1-0 win over Conestoga in a key match-up in the race for the central league title. But with the season on the line, the Fords dominated the district match-up with ‘stoga. Haverford's Captains paved the way for the attack. Kelsey LeBlanc opened the scored with a diving shot off a Jess McCarthy cross. Just 3 minutes later, LeBlanc showed off some skill and fired a shot from the top of the circle to make it 2-0 early in the game. At the beginning of the second half, Becky Bronstein took a pass from LeBlanc and fired a shot home to make it 3-0. With a late goal from Conestoga the Fords went on to win the game 3-1 and guaranteed themselves at least another week of hockey.

In the third round of District playoffs the Fords faltered in a 2-0 loss to Wissahickon, the District 1 #2 seed. The Fords played a tough game but were unable to finish on offensive opportunities. The loss ended an 11 game winning streak, but the Fords came back to practice with renewed focus and intensity.
