Flag football playoffs will begin on Tuesday 11/10. The top four teams will be playing. Teams 2, 4, and 6 will be playing in the playoffs on Tuesday. The winner of Monday's game between teams 3 and 5 will be the fourth team. Congratulations to all players on a great season!

The Make-a-Lunch Program gives each class of students an opportunity to serve others by making lunches to donate to the Upper Darby Life Center. Students bring in supplies and together they make sandwiches and pack brown bagged lunches with a special note for the recipient! Four 5th Grade students (Mackenzie Ginter, Erin Hughes, Keira Johnson and Julia Burd) were chosen to participate in the District 12 Elementary Chorus Fest. They have spent months working on 7 new pieces of music - they came in early to rehearse and did a lot of work at home to prepare. On Friday, March 13th, they traveled to Octorara High School to join students from 30 schools from surrounding districts in an all-day rehearsal with a guest conductor, culminating in a concert at 7:30pm.

This is the second year for the School Performance Profile. While we received a score for our schools, the more important aspect of this resource is that it allows us to acknowledge our strengths and use the profile as a tool for student improvement.
Every class begins the day with Morning Meeting here at Lynnewood. Students and teachers gather together in a circle to talk with each other and build the classroom community together. Children and teachers greet one another by name, share information about important events in their lives, participate in a group activity and read a message crafted to help students focus on the work they will do in school that day. This meeting is an engaging way for students to start each day!
